مزج الإله بترب ه

ذا القبر ألطافاً عديدة

ذا القبر ألطافاً عديدة

May God mingle with the dust of this

God mixed with the soil of this grave many kindnesses

grave many gracious blessings,

And watered it from the spring of contentment

وسقاه من مزن الرضا

وسقاه من مزن الرضا

سقياً يروِّي مستفيده

سقياً يروِّي مستفيده

and water it from the rain clouds of favor,

A quenching drink that benefits those who partake

with a watering that quenches its beneficiary's thirst.

For in it lies Sarah daughter of Abdullah, a unique jewel

إذ فيه سارة بنت عب

إذ فيه سارة بنت عب

د اللَه جوهرة فريدة

د اللَه جوهرة فريدة

For within it lies Sarah, daughter of ʿAbd

Surpassing in abundant wisdom

Allah, a peerless jewel.

And faith that was assured

فاقت بحلمٍ وافر

فاقت بحلمٍ وافر

وديانة كانت أكيدة

وديانة كانت أكيدة

She excelled in abundant forbearance,

And firmness in her religion

and in piety that was steadfast,

And devotion that was praiseworthy

ومتانةٍ في دينها

ومتانةٍ في دينها

وزهادة كانت حميدة

وزهادة كانت حميدة

and in firmness in her faith,

And reciting the Book of her Master and beneficial preaching

and in praiseworthy asceticism,

A lady who perfected herself and in her history died a martyr

وتلاوةٍ لكتاب مو

وتلاوةٍ لكتاب مو

لاها وموعظةٍ مفيدة

لاها وموعظةٍ مفيدة

and in recitation of the Book of

her Lord, and beneficial admonition.

سِتٌّ بها كملت وفي

سِتٌّ بها كملت وفي

تاريخها ماتت شهيدة

تاريخها ماتت شهيدة

Six virtues perfected her; and in

her chronogram: “She died a martyr.”
