كَذَبتَ لَقَد أَقَمتَ بِها ذَليلاً

تُقيمُ عَلى الهَوانِ بِها وَتَسري

تُقيمُ عَلى الهَوانِ بِها وَتَسري

You were wrong—you have stayed there in abasement;

You lied; you have indeed stayed there, humiliated.

You lied, you have indeed lived in it disgraced,

you remain there in humiliation, and journey by night.

You dwell there in humiliation and travel by night.

You reside in dishonor in it, and you roam around.
