رَمَيناكَwe shot at you أَيّامَduring the days of الفِجارِal-Fijār فَلَمyet did not تَزَلyou cease
رَمَيناكَ أَيّامَ الفِجارِ فَلَم تَزَل
حَمِيّاًabstaining from drink فَمَنso whoever يَشرَبdrinks فَلَستَthen you are not بِشارِبِa drinker
حَمِيّاً فَمَن يَشرَب فَلَستَ بِشارِبِ
We shot at you in the days of al-Fijār, yet you remained
We stoned you in the days of wickedness, yet you remained
abstaining from drink: whoever drinks, you are no drinker.
