كتابي توجه وجهة الساحة الكبرى
وكبرand proclaim God's greatness اذاwhen وافيتyou arrive واجتنبand avoid الكبراpride
وكبر اذا وافيت واجتنب الكبرا
My letter, set out toward the great courtyard,
My book set out to the grand assembly
and proclaim God's greatness when you arrive, shunning pride.
And grew when it reached there, avoiding arrogance

Stand humbly, beg permission, and seek
It stood humbly and asked for permission and sought
acceptance; kiss the gate's threshold ten times for me.
Acceptance, and for me kissed the threshold ten times

لذي أمل يرجو له البشر والبشرى
At the Khedival gate, convey the need
And it conveyed before the viceregal door the need
of a hopeful man longing for a cheerful welcome and glad tidings.
Of one who hopes the good tidings of mankind

At the gate of a generous-handed lord in whom hope is placed,
At the door of easy forgiveness hoping
who forgives missteps and seeks excuses for them:
For pardoning mistakes and seeking excuses

And the light of dawn is ashamed by the clarity of its opinion
when calamity darkens in a dreadful plight.
When events confuse him, bringing alienation
