Egypt, through her lord’s favor and compassion,
gladdened her people with her Khedive’s return.
أضاءilluminated نورthe light of محياهhis countenance نواحيهاher regions
أضاء نور محياه نواحيها
حتىuntil لقدindeed صرنthey became أياماًdays لياليهاher nights
حتى لقد صرن أياماً لياليها
The light of his countenance illuminated her regions,
until her nights had indeed become days.
