حتى متى لا ترى عدلا تسرّ به
ولاand not ترىyou see لدعاةfor the advocates of الحقthe truth أعواناhelpers
ولا ترى لدعاة الحق أعوانا
How long will you see no justice to gladden you,
Until when do you not see justice to gladden you
and see no helpers for the advocates of truth,
Nor see any supporters for the advocates of truth
مستمسكينholding fast بحقto truth قائلينprofessing belief بهin it
مستمسكين بحق قائلين به
إذاwhen تلوّنchanged colors أهلthe people of الجورinjustice ألواناvarious colors
إذا تلوّن أهل الجور ألوانا
holding fast to truth and professing belief in it,
Clinging to the truth, speaking it aloud
when the unjust take on many colors?
While the unjust don colorful masks
ياللرجالO men, help! لداءagainst an ailment لاno دواءcure لهfor it
ياللرجال لداء لا دواء له
وقائدand the leader of القومthe people أعمىblind قادled عمياناblind people
وقائد القوم أعمى قاد عميانا
O men, help against an ailment that has no cure!
Oh men, an illness with no cure at all
And the people's leader is a blind man who has led the blind.
And a blind leader guides the blind
