أَظُنَّ وَعرُهُ قُربُ المُناجي

When a friend of ours confers in secret with an enemy,

If a friend confides in an enemy of ours,

I suspect him, while his honor is close to the one with whom he confers.

I think his roughness lies in the confidant’s nearness.
