The decree of the nights is to part what they have gathered,
The nights' rule is to separate what they brought together
And to gather what they have parted, ever since the years began.
And join what they divided since the pilgrimages began

Have you, then, seen bliss that never fades,
So have you seen eternal bliss that has no end?
Or anyone in distress for whom there is no relief?
Or a hardship without relief ever coming?
