    Heaven's daughter appeared from the horizon,

    Wrapped in dewy radiance.

    And embroidered the sky's carpet with radiance,

    And with cold, golden flame,

    And with the warm, yearning glow,

    And with the finest, enchanting sight.

    So youth's raptures went mad for her,

    And overflowed in the breast of beardless midmorning.

    رؤوس الربا والثرى الأوهد

    And she bestowed her heavenly radiance upon

    The hilltops and the low-lying earth;

    إلى الماء والطين والجلمد

    To the towering mountain, the plain, and the bend;

    To the water, the clay, and the hard rock;

    إلى السوق والسجن والمعبد

    To the hut and the palace, cradle of wealth;

    To the market, the prison, and the temple.

    ين وجادت على العبد والسيد

    And she distributed light throughout the worlds,

    And lavished it on slave and master;

    سين على المجتدى وعلى المجتدي

    On the pampered, on the wretched;

    On the benefactor, and on the beggar.

    And, unfettered, she delivered her message

    To the nearest and farthest reaches of the universe.

    The justice of heaven's daughter flowed through existence,

    Attentive to its good and its bad.

    فزادت ثراءً إلى سؤدد

    And the mother of midmorning spent her light,

    So she added wealth to her majesty;

    And grew in beauty, adding radiance

    And light to her everlasting light.

    And she grew long-lived, never reaching

    Life's end except to begin anew.

    And she gave, so her kingdom's radiance endured,

    Ever youthful, forever reborn.

    And her abundant spending added nothing to her

    But greater, more enduring luxury.

    Indeed, God has set forth His parables,

    And whoever God leads astray will not find guidance.
