فَتاها إِذا اللَيلُ التِمّامُ تأوَّبا
I shall weep, even if the young men of Madhhij do not,
I will weep even if the youths of Mudhij do not weep
For its young hero, whenever the long night returns.
For him when the night is complete and dark

A young man who was no novice in the fury of war,
A youth who was never ignorant in the heat of battle
Nor obedient in battle to anyone who shrank in fear.
Nor with a submissive one in the fray who was made to cower

His slaying severed the noses of the tribe of Qahtan,
He made known the noses of Hayy Qahtan by killing him
And Nizar's nose it severed too, making the severance complete.
And Anf Nazar's nose which he made known and then broke
فَمَنso whoever يَكُmay be أَمسىhas become خائِناًa traitor لأَميرهِto his commander

So whoever may have become a traitor to his commander,
So whoever proves to be a traitor to his emir in the evening
Ibrahim did not betray Mus'ab in death.
Ibrahim did not betray Mus'ab in death
