فلاso do not تَظنُّوهُthink him روميّاًRoman ولاnor نَبَطيNabataean
فلا تَظنُّوهُ روميّاً ولا نَبَطي
Nasr is none other than a man whose lineage is of the Ansar;
Nasr’s lineage is from the Ansar alone.
The helpers are the source of victory
so do not suppose him Roman or Nabataean.
So do not think him Roman or Nabataean.
So think not he's a Roman or Nabataean
إِنif كُنتَyou were تَعرفُyou know مِنهabout him مثلَas much as مَعرفَتيmy knowledge
إِن كُنتَ تَعرفُ مِنه مثلَ مَعرفَتي
فإنَّthen indeed هجوَكَyour lampooning إيَّاهُhim مِنamong الغَلَطِerrors
فإنَّ هجوَكَ إيَّاهُ مِن الغَلَطِ
If you know as much of him as I do,
If you know as much about him as I do,
If you knew him as I know him
then your lampooning him is surely a mistake.
Then your lampooning of him is a mistake.
Then your satire of him would be mistaken
