فيover سِرِّthe secret of حبِّكَlove for you فاحتَكَمso it passed judgment
I have an eye I made arbiter
I have a secret love
over my secret love for you, and so it passed judgment.
Judged by your discerning eyes
فاطلُبso call to account بِسِرِّكَfor your secret دَمعَهُits tears
فلَقَدfor indeed كتَمتُI concealed it وماbut ... not كَتَمit concealed it
So call its tears to account for your secret:
Seek with your secret, my tears
for I kept it hidden, but it did not.
For I have kept it hidden, yet revealed
ولَقَدand indeed رَضيتُI have been content مِنamong المَعاthe sins (word begins)

And I have been content, among sins,
And I am content with the blame
with mere accusations in union with you.
For your love, though accused

If I have been pained by love
If your passion hurts me
for you, may I never be healed of pain.
I refuse to be healed of the pain
