تَبارَكَBlessed is منHe who عَمَّencompassed الأنامَall beings بِفَضلِهِwith His bounty
تَبارَكَ من عَمَّ الأنامَ بِفَضلِهِ
وبالمَوتِand through death بَينَamong الخَلقِcreatures ساوَىmade equal بِعَدلِهِin His justice
وبالمَوتِ بَينَ الخَلقِ ساوَى بِعَدلِهِ
Blessed is He who has embraced all beings with His bounty,
Blessed is he who has favored all people with his grace
and through death made all creatures equal in His justice.
And in death made all equal with his justice
مَضَىdeparted مُستَقِلاًbearing away بِالعُلومِwith learning مُحمَّدٌMuhammad
مَضَى مُستَقِلاً بِالعُلومِ مُحمَّدٌ
وَهَيهاتَand far be it يأتِيناshould come to us الزَّمانُtime بمثلِهِwith his like
وَهَيهاتَ يأتِينا الزَّمانُ بمثلِهِ
Muhammad has departed, taking learning with him;
Muhammad has passed, master of all knowledge
and never will time bring us his like.
Alas, time will never bring one like him
