وقالواand they said هناءgreetings العيدEid بالعيدon Eid واجبٌobligatory
وقالوا هناء العيد بالعيد واجبٌ
وأنتand you بصقعٍin a region واحدٍone ومحمدُand Muhammad
وأنت بصقعٍ واحدٍ ومحمدُ
And they said, "Eid greetings on Eid are a duty,
and you and Muhammad are in the same region."
فقمتso I came forward لهمto them بالعذرِwith an excuse والحالُand the circumstances بينناbetween us
فقمت لهم بالعذرِ والحالُ بيننا
تقومُundertake بتصديقيaffirming my truthfulness عليهregarding it وتشهدُand bear witness
تقومُ بتصديقي عليه وتشهدُ
So I offered them my excuse, and the circumstances between us
vouch for my truthfulness in it and bear witness.
عطاؤكyour bounty أخفىhid العيدEid عنيfrom me لأنَّنيbecause I
عطاؤك أخفى العيد عني لأنَّني
بتجديدهthrough its renewal فيon كلِّevery يومٍday أعيدُI celebrate Eid
بتجديده في كلِّ يومٍ أعيدُ
Your bounty has hidden Eid from me, for I
celebrate Eid every day as your bounty is renewed.
