تَأمَّلcontemplate الجوَّthe sky تَرىyou will see والِياًa governor
تَأمَّل الجوَّ تَرى والِياً
قدindeed وَليَhas assumed العهدَthe charge of office علىover السُّحبِthe clouds
قد وَليَ العهدَ على السُّحبِ
Contemplate the sky: you will see a governor
Observe the weather, you will see a successor
who has assumed his charge over the clouds.
Who has taken power over the clouds
سارَhe moved on وقوسُand the bow اللَّهِof God تاجٌa crown لَهfor him
سارَ وقوسُ اللَّهِ تاجٌ لَه
رَكضاًat a gallop منfrom الشَّرقِthe east إلىto الغَربِthe west
رَكضاً من الشَّرقِ إلى الغَربِ
He moved on, with God's bow as his crown,
Moving ahead, and Allah's rainbow crowns him
at a gallop from east to west.
