كشَفَ الرَّجاءُ لأُعينِ ال

كشَفَ الرَّجاءُ لأُعينِ ال

عافينَ صَفحةَ باسِمِ

عافينَ صَفحةَ باسِمِ

Hope unveiled, before the eyes of the

Hope unveiled to the eyes of the

favor-seekers, Bāsim’s countenance.

petitioners the face of one who smiles.

فَتباشَرُوا ما بَينَهم

فَتباشَرُوا ما بَينَهم

بقدُومِ سَعدٍ قادِمِ

بقدُومِ سَعدٍ قادِمِ

So they shared glad tidings among themselves

So they rejoiced among themselves

at Saʿd’s arrival—good fortune arriving—

at the advent of approaching good fortune,

وزيادةٍ في مكرُما

وزيادةٍ في مكرُما

تِ عَليٍّ بنِ القاسِمِ

تِ عَليٍّ بنِ القاسِمِ

and at an increase in the noble

and an increase in the generous

deeds of ʿAlī ibn al-Qāsim.
