  1. قلتُ وقد أوردَني حبُّه

    موارِداً ليسَ لَها مَصدرُ

    I said, when his love had brought me

    to watering places with no way out:

  2. أفسَدتَ دُنيايَ ولا دينَ لي

    تُفسِدُه فاصدَع بِما تُؤمَرُ

    You have ruined my worldly life, and I have no religion

    for you to ruin—so proclaim what you are commanded.
