The dwellings became delicate and soft,
so halt these mounts beside them awhile.
So restrain this mount here a little,

Perhaps crying will relieve anguish from the heart,

ولأشكرنَّكand I shall surely thank you بكرةًat morning وأصيلاand at evening
ولأشكرنَّك بكرةً وأصيلا
So I shall surely spread over you the brightest of my poems,
and surely thank you morning and evening.
ومنand through الثناءpraise عليكof you فيin أمثالهاones like them
ومن الثناء عليك في أمثالها

لم يَبْقَ قولٌ فيك إلاَّ قيلا
And from praising you in verses such as these,
