أنظُرlook إلىat هذهthis الدَّارthe house الَّتيwhich كَمُلَتْattained perfection
أنظُر إلى هذه الدَّار الَّتي كَمُلَتْ
فيهاin it منof الحُسنbeauty والإحسانand beneficence أوصافُqualities
فيها من الحُسن والإحسان أوصافُ
Look at this house, where there have been perfected
Look at this house which attained
qualities of beauty and beneficence.
In it the qualities of beauty and kindness
تروقit delights للعينto the eye منظوراًas a sight ومبتهجاًand a source of delight
تروق للعين منظوراً ومبتهجاً
منهاfrom it وتنعمand enjoy comfort زوارٌvisitors وأضيافand guests
منها وتنعم زوارٌ وأضياف
It delights the eye, a sight to behold and a source of joy;
Pleasant for the eye in appearance and joyous
and visitors and guests draw comfort from it.
Inhabitants and guests enjoy in it
ماnot حلَّlodged فيهاin it امرؤٌa person إلاَّexcept ويشملهand enfolds him
ما حلَّ فيها امرؤٌ إلاَّ ويشمله
فيin الحالthe present moment منfrom نفحاتbreaths القدسholiness ألطافgraces
في الحال من نفحات القدس ألطاف
No one lodges in it without being enfolded
No man stepped into it, but was covered
at once by graces from the breaths of holiness.
Immediately with the gentle breeze of holiness
منfrom آلthe family of بيتthe household of رسولthe Messenger of اللهGod يسكنهاinhabits it
من آل بيت رسول الله يسكنها
قومpeople لهمthey have منamong رجالthe men of الغيبthe unseen أحلافallies
قوم لهم من رجال الغيب أحلاف
From the household of God's Messenger, there dwell in it
It is inhabited by the people of the Prophet's family
people with allies among the men of the unseen.
Who have pacts with the men of the unseen
الباذلونthose who give generously لوجهfor the sake of اللهGod ماwhat ملكواthey possessed
الباذلون لوجه الله ما ملكوا
وفيand in مكارمهمtheir noble deeds فيin البرِّcharity إسرافlavishness
وفي مكارمهم في البرِّ إسراف
Those who give for God's sake all they possess,
Bestowing for the sake of God what they own
and whose noble generosity is lavish in charity.
And being excessive in righteous deeds and kindness
اللهGod يكلأguards بانيهاits builder وساكنهاand its inhabitant
الله يكلأ بانيها وساكنها
كماas بنتbuilt قبلهbefore him للمجدfor glory أسلافforebears
كما بنت قبله للمجد أسلاف
May God guard its builder and its inhabitant,
May Allah bless its builder and dweller
as forebears before him built for glory.
As He blessed glorious ancestors before
منfrom كلّevery ضيفٍguest منamong الأمجادthe illustrious يقصدهاseeks it
من كلّ ضيفٍ من الأمجاد يقصدها
وفيand among الأماجدthe noble أنواعٌkinds وأصنافand classes
وفي الأماجد أنواعٌ وأصناف
From every guest among the illustrious who seeks it,
Every glorious guest that visits it
and among the noble are kinds and classes.
And the glories have types and categories
نقلconvey لسلمانto Salman لاnot زالتit ceased ولاnor برحتit departed
نقل لسلمان لا زالت ولا برحت
أرِّخْrecord the date بداركin your house ساداتlords وأشرافand nobles
أرِّخْ بدارك سادات وأشراف
Convey to Salman: may it ever remain and endure;
Conveyed to Salman, never ceasing or halting
record the date: 'In your house are lords and nobles.'
Date your house, O masters and nobles
