إنَّ النَّقيب عَليًّا طابَ عنصُرُه

إنَّ النَّقيب عَليًّا طابَ عنصُرُه

وشَرَّفَ الله في السادات محتدَه

وشَرَّفَ الله في السادات محتدَه

Indeed, the naqib Ali is of noble stock,

Indeed, Al-Naqib Ali's virtue prospered

and God ennobled his ancestry among the sayyids,

And God ennobled among the masters his zeal

لجدّه الشيخ باز الله حين بنى

لجدّه الشيخ باز الله حين بنى

معمّراً في سبيل الله مسجدَه

معمّراً في سبيل الله مسجدَه

when he built for his forefather, Shaykh Baz Allah—God's Falcon—

For his grandfather Sheikh Baz, when he built

his mosque, restoring it in the cause of God.

A mosque for the sake of God, making it everlasting

شيخ الطريقة لم يقصده قاصده

شيخ الطريقة لم يقصده قاصده

إلاَّ وأعطاه ربُّ العرش مقصده

إلاَّ وأعطاه ربُّ العرش مقصده

The shaykh of the Way: no seeker sought him

The sheikh of the path, no visitor came to him

but the Lord of the Throne granted him his wish,

Except the Lord of the Throne gave him his purpose

أو جاءَ مسترشداً يبغي النجاة به

أو جاءَ مسترشداً يبغي النجاة به

إلاَّ هداه إلى التقوى وأرشده

إلاَّ هداه إلى التقوى وأرشده

or came seeking guidance, seeking salvation through him,

Or he came seeking salvation through him

but he guided him to piety and showed him the way.

Except he guided him to piety and showed him the way

فصلِّ لله وادع الله حينئذ

فصلِّ لله وادع الله حينئذ

وَزُرْ من الشيخ قطب الغوث مرقده

وَزُرْ من الشيخ قطب الغوث مرقده

So pray to God, and call upon God then,

So pray to God at that time

and visit the resting place of the shaykh, the Pole of Succor.

And visit the tomb of the Pole of succor

فلم تَزَلْ نفحاتُ القدس سارية

فلم تَزَلْ نفحاتُ القدس سارية

منه إليك بما لا كنتَ تعهده

منه إليك بما لا كنتَ تعهده

For the breezes of holiness have never ceased to flow

For inspirations of holiness continued

from him to you, bearing what you had never known.

Flowing from him to you, which you never knew before

واشْهَدْ لبانيه إعجاباً بهمَّتِه

واشْهَدْ لبانيه إعجاباً بهمَّتِه

بما بناه وعَلاّه وشيّده

بما بناه وعَلاّه وشيّده

And bear witness for its builder, admiring his resolve,

And bear witness to the resolve of its builder

for what he built, raised high, and erected.

For what he built, elevated and erected

وقل لمنْ رام منه أن يُؤرِّخَه

وقل لمنْ رام منه أن يُؤرِّخَه

ذا جامعٌ وعليُّ القَدْر جَدَّده

ذا جامعٌ وعليُّ القَدْر جَدَّده

And tell whoever wishes to compose its chronogram:

And say to whoever wanted to date it

This is a congregational mosque, and Ali, lofty in rank, renewed it.

This is a mosque, and Ali of great worth renovated it
