عسىmay نظرةٌa glance منfrom ناصرٍNasir والتفاتَةٌand a turn of attention
عسى نظرةٌ من ناصرٍ والتفاتَةٌ
تُخَفِّفُeases منsome of همِّيmy worry وتَكشِفُand dispels منsome of ضُرِّيmy affliction
تُخَفِّفُ من همِّي وتَكشِفُ من ضُرِّي
May a glance from Nasir and a turn of his attention
ease some of my worry and dispel some of my affliction.
فعَهْديfor my knowledge بهof him برٌّbenevolent رؤوفٌcompassionate وراحِمٌand merciful
فعَهْدي به برٌّ رؤوفٌ وراحِمٌ
تَعاهَدَنيhe has cared for me منfrom قَبلُbefore بالعُسْرِin hardship واليُسْرِand ease
تَعاهَدَني من قَبلُ بالعُسْرِ واليُسْرِ
For I have known him to be benevolent, compassionate, and merciful;
he has cared for me before, in hardship and ease.
