إنَّindeed الممالكthe realms فيin صدارةleadership أحمدAhmad
إنَّ الممالك في صدارة أحمد
أَضْحَتْhave become بطيبِin the sweetness of مَسَرَّةٍdelight وهناءand contentment
أَضْحَتْ بطيبِ مَسَرَّةٍ وهناء
Indeed, under Ahmad's leadership, the realms
The kingdoms at the fore of Ahmad
have come to enjoy sweet delight and contentment.
Have become, with the perfume of joy and bliss,
ضحكتlaughed بهbecause of him دارthe abode السَّعادةof happiness بعدماafter
ضحكت به دار السَّعادة بعدما
أَبكَتْit made weep عليهfor him أَعْيُنَthe eyes الزوراءal-Zawra
أَبكَتْ عليه أَعْيُنَ الزوراء
The Abode of Happiness laughed because of him, after
The abode of happiness laughed with him after
it had made the eyes of al-Zawra weep for him.
The eyes of the deceitful had wept over him.
للدولةfor the state العلياءsublime فيin سلطانهاits sovereignty
للدولة العلياء في سلطانها
أَرّخrecord the date تصدّرassumed the foremost seat مدحتMidhat العلياءthe highest station
أَرّخ تصدّر مدحت العلياء
For the Sublime State, in its sovereignty,
For the supreme state in its sultanate
record the date: 'Midhat assumed the highest seat.'
The supreme eulogy dated its heading.
