وإنِّيAnd indeed I لشيعيٌّam surely a follower لآلof the family of محمَّدMuhammad
وإنِّي لشيعيٌّ لآل محمَّد
وإنْeven if رَغِمَتْare rubbed in dust آنافُthe noses of قوميmy people وعُذَّليand my reproachers
وإنْ رَغِمَتْ آنافُ قومي وعُذَّلي
Indeed, I am a devoted partisan of Muhammad’s House,
And I am indeed a follower of Muhammad's family,
though the noses of my people and my reproachers be rubbed in dust.
Even if the noses of my people and my reproachers are rubbed in dust.
وأَشْهَدُAnd I bear witness أنَّthat اللهGod لاno ربَّLord غيرهother than Him
وأَشْهَدُ أنَّ الله لا ربَّ غيره
وأنَّAnd that وليّthe friend of اللهGod بينamong الملاthe people عليAli
وأنَّ وليّ الله بين الملا علي
And I bear witness that there is no Lord but God,
And I bear witness that there is no Lord other than God,
and that, among all the assembly, God’s chosen friend is Ali.
And that God's friend among the people is Ali.
