لكنْتُ والله فيها غيرَ مغبونِ
And a graceful maiden—were I to barter my soul for the sight of her,
And a lovely maiden—were I to trade my soul for the sight of her,
By God, I would not be cheated in the bargain.
I would, by God, not be shortchanged in the bargain.

Neither the full moon nor the slender bough is lovelier than her graces;
Neither the full moon nor the bough is lovelier than her graces,
She seems to be one of the wide-eyed maidens of Paradise.
As though she were a daughter of the fair, wide-eyed houris.
