أَنْتَ رأسُ العُلى وصدرُ الشَّريعه

O possessor of virtue and every perfection,

You who embody all merit and perfection

You are the summit of eminence and the foremost authority in sacred law.

You are the highest authority and heart of sacred law

أنا أهوى غرائِب القول طبعاً

أنا أهوى غرائِب القول طبعاً

فأَعرْني يوماً كتاب الطبيعه

فأَعرْني يوماً كتاب الطبيعه

By nature, I delight in curious turns of phrase;

I am naturally inclined to love ingenious words

So lend me, one day, the Book of Nature.

So one day show me nature's book
