When mixed with the son of heaven's water,
When it is mixed with the water of the sky
Pearls of bubbles are born from it.
Wondrous pleasures are born from it

So oh you whose affection for me is constant
And from whose love I have no turning away,
And I have no turning away from loving you
صَراحَتيmy wine flask ماnot بهاin it قطرةٌa drop

فقل عند ذلك يا للعجب
My wine flask holds not a drop,

فأينso where are الزكاةthe prescribed alms وهذاand this is رجبRajab
فأين الزكاة وهذا رجب
And you possess enough wine to owe alms—
And you own the drinking cups
So where are the alms, now that it is Rajab?
So where is the charity-due and this is Rajab?
