The body must have sustenance;

The body cannot do without sustenance;

so take it in due moderation.

وأقرب من العز في اتضاع

وأقرب من العز في اتضاع

واهرب من الذل في المعالي

واهرب من الذل في المعالي

And draw near to honor through humility,

And draw near to honor in lowliness,

and flee from abasement amid noble heights.

and flee humiliation in lofty stations.
