Be humble if you are favored by for-

When fate assists you, the wise prevail,

Be gentle if Fate

tune, for the wise man is humble.

But when fate demeans you, so shall you be.

aids you, for the wise are humble;

فإذا حطك دهرٌ

فإذا حطك دهرٌ

فكما كنت تكون

فكما كنت تكون

And if fortune brings you low,

And if time brings you low,

then you will be as you were.

you remain as you were.
