حَلَّت سُلَيمى بَطنَ وَجرَةَ فَالرَجا

حَلَّت سُلَيمى بَطنَ وَجرَةَ فَالرَجا

وَاِحتَلَّ أَهلُكَ بِالسِخالِ إِلى القُرى

وَاِحتَلَّ أَهلُكَ بِالسِخالِ إِلى القُرى

Sulaymā has alighted in Wajra’s hollow, then at al-Rajā;

Sulaymā settled in the valley of Wajra, then al-Rajā;

Sulaima passed by the valley and highland, so have hope

while your people have encamped at al-Sikhāl, stretching as far as al-Qurā.

And your people settled at al-Sikhāl, as far as al-Qurā.

And your family took up residence in the far-off villages
