عالم الدنيا كفجر كاذبٍ

إن تبدّى يعقب الضوءَ ظلامْ

إن تبدّى يعقب الضوءَ ظلامْ

The realm of worldly life is like a false dawn:

The world is like a false dawn

If it appears, darkness follows the light.

If light appears, darkness follows

ونهار الحشر فجر صادق

ونهار الحشر فجر صادق

ليس فيه إن تحققت كلامْ

ليس فيه إن تحققت كلامْ

And the day of resurrection is a true dawn;

And the dawn of the resurrection is a true dawn

There is no disputing it, if you have ascertained the truth.

In it, if realized, there is no talk

وطلوع الشمس في أفلاكها

وطلوع الشمس في أفلاكها

أن ترى ربك في دار السلام

أن ترى ربك في دار السلام

And the rising of the sun in its spheres

And the sun rising in its orbits

Is to behold your Lord in the Abode of Peace.

Is to see your Lord in the abode of peace

فهي أطوار ثلاث جمعت

فهي أطوار ثلاث جمعت

دائماً فيك على هذا النظام

دائماً فيك على هذا النظام

For these are three stages, gathered together

So these are three stages combined

Always within you, in this order.

Always in you according to this system

فاعتبرها منك بالجسم وبال

فاعتبرها منك بالجسم وبال

نفس والروح تجدها والسلام

نفس والروح تجدها والسلام

So contemplate them within yourself, in the body and the

So consider them in yourself, in body and mind

Soul and the spirit; you will find them—and peace.

And spirit you will find them, peace
