لكعبة الوصف ذات قبلها ذاتُ
فهيso they are الذواتthe essences ثلاثthree المستعزاتُthe exalted ones
فهي الذوات ثلاث المستعزاتُ
The Kaaba of description has an essence, before which is an essence.
The Kaaba, with its lofty description, has an essence
Thus the essences are three—the exalted ones.
Thus it has three essences, glorified
كماjust as الصفاتthe attributes ثلاثthree فيin مراتبهاtheir ranks
كما الصفات ثلاث في مراتبها
غيبthe unseen وغيبand the unseen وغيبand the unseen فهيso they are غيباتُunseen realms
غيب وغيب وغيب فهي غيباتُ
Just as the attributes are three in their ranks:
Just as the attributes are three in their ranks
Unseen, and unseen, and unseen—thus they are realms of the unseen.
The unseen, the unseen, the unseen, thus unseen
وبالوراثةand through inheritance يبدوbecomes apparent ماwhat أقولI say لكمto you
وبالوراثة يبدو ما أقول لكم
ياO معشرcompany القومthe people والورّاثwhile the heirs أمواتُdead
يا معشر القوم والورّاث أمواتُ
And through inheritance, what I tell you becomes apparent,
And through inheritance appears what I tell you
O company of the people, while the heirs are dead.
O people and inheritors though dead
قامتhas arisen قيامةresurrection أهليmy people فيin معارفهمtheir insights
قامت قيامة أهلي في معارفهم
واللموازينand for the scales بالأعمالthrough deeds وزناتweighings
واللموازين بالأعمال وزنات
My people’s resurrection has arisen in their insights.
The resurrection of my people occurred in their knowledge
And the scales have weighings of deeds.
And the scales weighed their deeds
هيit الستارةthe curtain تخفيit conceals ماthat which بهthrough it ظهرتit appeared
هي الستارة تخفي ما به ظهرت
وتظهرand it reveals الأمرthe matter حيثwhere النفيnegation إثباتaffirmation
وتظهر الأمر حيث النفي إثبات
It is the curtain, concealing that through which it appeared.
It is the veil that hides what through it appeared
And it reveals the matter where negation is affirmation.
And shows the matter where negation is affirmation
لاحshone forth الصباحthe morning فبيتso the House اللهGod حضرتهHis presence
لاح الصباح فبيت الله حضرته
والطائفونand those who circumambulate لهمthey have بالبيتat the House حضراتpresences
والطائفون لهم بالبيت حضرات
Morning shone forth: the House of God is His presence.
The dawn shone and the House of God appeared
And those who circumambulate have presences at the House.
And those circling it, their presence graced
وزمزمand Zamzam القربnearness منهfrom it القومthe people قدindeed شربواthey have drunk
وزمزم القرب منه القوم قد شربوا
وفيهand within it دارتcirculated علىamong الأكوانall beings كاساتcups
وفيه دارت على الأكوان كاسات
And the people have indeed drunk from the Zamzam of nearness.
And from Zamzam the people drank
And within it, cups circulated among all beings.
Around it cups for all creation passed
