الكون قد أظهر لي بسطه
فيin نورthe light of طهTa-Ha مثبتestablished قسطهits share
في نور طه مثبت قسطه
The cosmos has revealed its expanse to me.
The universe has shown me its expanse
In the light of Ta-Ha, its share is established.
In the light of Taha who confirmed his gift
والآلand the family نورlight أحكمواthey made firm ربطهits bond
والآل نور أحكموا ربطه
لوif شقwere split open عنfrom قلبيmy heart يرىwould be seen وسطهat its center
لو شق عن قلبي يرى وسطه
And the family are light; they have made its bond firm.
And the Family of Light who perfected its connection
Were my heart laid open, at its center would be seen
If it were opened from my heart you would see its core
سطرانtwo lines قدalready خطاwere both inscribed بلاwithout كاتبa writer
سطران قد خطا بلا كاتب
نورانtwo lights فيin نورa light لهمto them غائبhidden
نوران في نور لهم غائب
Two lines, already inscribed without a writer.
Two lines written without a scribe
Two lights within a light hidden from them.
Two lights in an absent light
روحa spirit وجسمand a body ذاthis بلاwithout عائبa faultfinder
روح وجسم ذا بلا عائب
لاnot زالceased فيin قلبيmy heart لناfor us تائبa penitent
لا زال في قلبي لنا تائب
Spirit and body—this is without a faultfinder.
Spirit and body this without fault
A penitent remains in my heart for us.
It still remains repentant to us in my heart
العلمknowledge والتوحيدand affirmation of God's oneness فيon جانبٍone side
العلم والتوحيد في جانبٍ
وحبand love آلthe family of البيتthe House فيon جانبa side
وحب آل البيت في جانب
Knowledge and affirmation of God's oneness are on one side,
Knowledge and oneness on one side
And love of the family of the House is on the other.
And love of the Prophet's Family on the other side
