ضع حبة القلب لهْ وانصب فخاخ الذكرْ

The bird of the secret has a nest at the summit of the subtle essence.

The bird of mystery in its highest delicacy has a nest

Place the heart's grain for it, and set the traps of remembrance.

Place in it a seed of heart and set up traps of memory

واستنزلهْ عل ينزل بالرداح البكرْ

واستنزلهْ عل ينزل بالرداح البكرْ

عليك يوماً فتنجو من قيود الفكرْ

عليك يوماً فتنجو من قيود الفكرْ

And draw it down; perhaps it will descend with the full-figured virgin

And make it descend as it descends on unspoiled meadows

Upon you one day, so you escape the fetters of thought.

One day it will be saved from the shackles of thought
