غلامboy نفسكْyour ego بنفسكْby yourself فاقتلهthen slay him ياO شمسْShams (sun)
غلام نفسكْ بنفسكْ فاقتله يا شمسْ
واطمسand efface وجودكْyour existence بأنوارwith the lights of التجليdivine manifestation طمسْutter effacement
واطمس وجودكْ بأنوار التجلي طمسْ
Slay the boy of your ego yourself, O Shams.
Soul, slay yourself with yourself, O Sun
And utterly efface your existence with the lights of divine manifestation.
Erase your existence with illumination's lights
وإنand if خرقتyou pierced سفينةْa ship بحرْsea أمرهْhis command همسْa whisper
وإن خرقت سفينةْ بحرْ أمرهْ همسْ
أقمestablish جدارwall الشريعهsacred law والصلاةand the prayer الخمسْthe five
أقم جدار الشريعه والصلاة الخمسْ
And if you pierce a ship at sea, his command is a whisper.
And if the ship of his affair ripped through the sea
Raise the wall of sacred law and uphold the five prayers.
