سلَّم إن جئتَ أرضَ وادي سلمِ

سلَّم إن جئتَ أرضَ وادي سلمِ

واقصد قوماً على يمين العلمِ

واقصد قوماً على يمين العلمِ

Offer greetings if you reach the land of the valley of Salam.

If you come to the land of the Valley of Peace

And seek out a people to the right of the landmark.

Seek out a people on the right side of knowledge

واشرح وجدي لهم عسى أن يَرْثوا

واشرح وجدي لهم عسى أن يَرْثوا

إني فيهم مزجت دمعي بدمي

إني فيهم مزجت دمعي بدمي

And explain my longing to them; perhaps they will take pity.

And share with them your enthusiasm, perhaps they will have mercy

Indeed, for their sake I have mingled my tears with my blood.

For I have mingled my tears with my blood among them
