يا من تكلم فينا بالذي فيه

يا من تكلم فينا بالذي فيه

وقعت في كف ضرغام وفي فيه

وقعت في كف ضرغام وفي فيه

O you who said of us what lies within yourself,

O you who spoke ill of us

You have fallen into a lion's paw and into its mouth.

And fell into the grip of torment and woe

ودِّع حياتَك إن السم فيك سرى

ودِّع حياتَك إن السم فيك سرى

من لحمنا عنك لا تسطيع تنفيه

من لحمنا عنك لا تسطيع تنفيه

Bid your life farewell: the poison has coursed through you

Bid farewell to your life, for the poison within you has spread

From our flesh; you cannot drive it out of yourself.

Our flesh cannot save you from it

واختر لنفسك ديناً مُت عليه سوى

واختر لنفسك ديناً مُت عليه سوى

دين النبي الذي أنكرتنا فيه

دين النبي الذي أنكرتنا فيه

And choose for yourself a faith to die in, other than

And choose for yourself a religion to die upon other than

The Prophet's faith, in which you denounced us.

The religion of the Prophet you denied us in

فقد جحدت الغيور الحق ملته

فقد جحدت الغيور الحق ملته

هيهات أنك تنجو من أياديه

هيهات أنك تنجو من أياديه

For you have disavowed the faith of the Jealous One, the Truth;

For you have rejected the zealous truth of his faith

Never shall you escape His hands!

Never shall you escape from his hands

وإن جهلت فما بالكفر يعذر ذو

وإن جهلت فما بالكفر يعذر ذو

جهل لدى الشرع والشيطان يطغيه

جهل لدى الشرع والشيطان يطغيه

And if you were ignorant, no excuse for unbelief is granted to the

And if you are ignorant, no disbelief excuses one

Ignorant under the Sacred Law; Satan drives him to transgress.

Of ignorance before sacred law, as the devil leads him astray

دم في ظنونك مفتوناً فسوف ترى

دم في ظنونك مفتوناً فسوف ترى

من الذي منه قبح الفعل يدريه

من الذي منه قبح الفعل يدريه

Persist, deluded, in your suspicions; soon you will see

Bloodshed seems sweet to your delusions, yet soon you will see

Who it is that knows the ugliness of the deed that comes from him.

Who knows the ugliness of this deed

ولا تقل أي جاه للضعيف يرى

ولا تقل أي جاه للضعيف يرى

فإن للبيت ربّاً سوف يحميه

فإن للبيت ربّاً سوف يحميه

And do not say, 'What standing is seen for the weak?'

And say not the weak have no glory that they can see

For the house has a Lord who will protect it.

For the house has a Lord who shall protect it

يا مستبيحين أعراضاً محرمةً

يا مستبيحين أعراضاً محرمةً

بسوء ظن وتلبيس وتمويه

بسوء ظن وتلبيس وتمويه

O you who treat inviolable honor as fair game,

O violators of the sanctity of forbidden dignity

Through thinking ill of others, misrepresentation, and deceit,

With ill thoughts, deception, and trickery

أهكذا ملة الإسلام تأمركم

أهكذا ملة الإسلام تأمركم

أم قد سلكتم عن الإسلام في تيه

أم قد سلكتم عن الإسلام في تيه

Does the faith of Islam command you to act like this,

Is this how the religion of Islam commands you?

Or have you strayed from Islam into a trackless wilderness?

Or have you lost your way from Islam, wandering blindly

تبا لكم ولمن قد عاد يتبعكم

تبا لكم ولمن قد عاد يتبعكم

والعبد مولاه في الأعداء يكفيه

والعبد مولاه في الأعداء يكفيه

Ruin upon you and upon whoever has returned to follow you!

Woe to you and those who follow your path

And the servant's Master suffices him against his enemies.
