ياO غافلونheedless ones استفيقواawaken ياO نيامsleepers الجاهْworldly prestige
يا غافلون استفيقوا يا نيام الجاهْ
وامحواand efface بماthrough that which لمhas not يزلceased to be ماthat which لمhad not يكنexisted أوّاهْah!
وامحوا بما لم يزل ما لم يكن أوّاهْ
O heedless ones, awaken, O you asleep in worldly prestige!
O heedless ones, awaken, o sleepers of ignorance
And efface, through what has always been, what once was not—ah!
And erase with what has not ceased what has not been, alas
وافنواand efface yourselves عنaway from الفكرthought إنfor الفكرthought فيهin Him تاهْhas gone astray
وافنوا عن الفكر إن الفكر فيه تاهْ
وماand not تشاؤنyou will إلاexcept أنthat يشاءwills اللهْGod
وما تشاؤن إلا أن يشاء اللهْ
And lose yourselves beyond thought, for thought has lost its way in Him.
And perish from thought, verily thought in it goes astray
And you do not will unless God wills.
And you do not will except that Allah wills
