No one perceives divine knowledge
The wise one sees naught but wisdom
among humankind except a jurist.
In all creation but the fool's.

وسفيه كل من قا

س كريما بسفيهِ
And a fool is anyone who com-
And he who calls another fool
pares a noble person with a fool.
Himself's the greatest fool of all.
منwhoever رأىsaw فيin الغيرanother عيباًa fault
من رأى في الغير عيباً
كانwas ذاكthat العيبthe fault فيهin him
كان ذاك العيب فيه
Whoever sees a fault in another—
Whoever sees in others shame
that fault is in him.
Bears that shame his very own.
