لا خلق أعظم مثل خلق الآخرَهْ

لا خلق أعظم مثل خلق الآخرَهْ

يعطي السعيد بها العلوم الفاخرَهْ

No creation is greater than the creation of the Hereafter.

No creation is greater than the creation of the hereafter

There the blessed one is granted splendid knowledge.

It gives the blessed therein sublime knowledge

وإليه مرجع كل شيء في الورى

وإليه مرجع كل شيء في الورى

لا سيما أهل العظام الناخره

لا سيما أهل العظام الناخره

And to Him everything in creation returns,

And to it is the return of everything in existence

especially those with decaying bones.

Especially the people of decaying bones

ونعيمه وعذابه متنوع

ونعيمه وعذابه متنوع

أبدا كأمواج البحار الزاخره

أبدا كأمواج البحار الزاخره

And His bliss and His torment take varied forms,

Its pleasures and torments are diverse

forever, like the waves of the surging seas.

Forever like the waves of the abundant seas

والكل في التحقيق أمر واحد

والكل في التحقيق أمر واحد

كل القوابل تستشم مباخره

كل القوابل تستشم مباخره

And all, in truth, is one thing;

And everything in reality is one matter

all receptive forms inhale the scent of its censers.

All recipients smell the same incense

والقبضتان هما جمال إلهنا

والقبضتان هما جمال إلهنا

وجلاله ظهرا لنا في الآخره

وجلاله ظهرا لنا في الآخره

And the two handfuls are our God's beauty

And the two fists are the beauty of our God

and His majesty; both appeared to us in the Hereafter.

And His majesty which appeared to us in the hereafter

والحق في عين الجميع محقق

والحق في عين الجميع محقق

والنفس لاهية بذلك ساخره

والنفس لاهية بذلك ساخره

And the Real is established in the very essence of all,

And the truth in everyone's eyes is realized

and the soul is heedless, scoffing at that.

And the soul is heedless of that mocking

والنقر في الناقور يكشف خافياً

والنقر في الناقور يكشف خافياً

باللبس أول ما يقول وآخره

باللبس أول ما يقول وآخره

And the sounding of the trumpet reveals what is hidden

And tapping on the drum reveals secrets

by ambiguity—the beginning and end of what He says.
