May God tend a garden in Fijah of Jilliq,
God tended a garden in Fijja's valley
beside sweet, cold, flowing water.
With flowing cool sweet water

There the spring poured forth its abundance at every moment,
The spring constantly poured out its abundance
and so lowered for us the price of a cup of clear drink.
Quenching our thirst with chilled drinks

تميل دلالاً بالصبا المترقرق
Luxuriant gardens, whose branches keep
Gentle groves with leaning boughs
swaying coyly in the rippling east breeze.
Swaying gracefully in the murmuring breeze

Their shadows paint patterns on the ground

And what if the one who came were mounted?
How much more so one who came riding
Then he would be in certain danger, beyond all doubt.
In definite peril with heart pounding

Yet the Lord of Creation protected us there
so we saw no fear befall us there.
So we feared no evil amidst its beauty

Of one who honored us with might and grace
