In the names of the Lord of all worlds is my beginning,

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

with praise beyond counting and thanks in full.

I begin with the names of the Lord of the Worlds

وكم من صلاة مع سلام تبركاً

وكم من صلاة مع سلام تبركاً

أتى بهما عبد الغني موافيا

أتى بهما عبد الغني موافيا

And many a blessing, together with peace, seeking benediction,

And with endless praise and abundant gratitude

Abd al-Ghani has duly offered both,

And however much salutations and peace as blessing

على خير خلق الله طه وآله

على خير خلق الله طه وآله

وأصحابه مع من لهم كان تاليا

وأصحابه مع من لهم كان تاليا

upon the best of God's creation, Taha, and his family,

وبعد فهذا عقد در نظمته

لمن كان في نيل الكمالات ساعيا

لمن كان في نيل الكمالات ساعيا

And thereafter: this is a necklace of pearls I have strung

And his companions, and whoever followed them

for whoever strives to attain perfections.

And now this is a pearl I have strung in verse

فخذه بإخلاص وكن موقناً به

فخذه بإخلاص وكن موقناً به

ولا تك عن مضمونه متلاهيا

ولا تك عن مضمونه متلاهيا

So take it sincerely, and be certain of it;

For whoever strives to attain perfection

do not be heedless of its contents.

Take it with sincerity and be certain of it

وواظب عليه في الصباح وفي المسا

وواظب عليه في الصباح وفي المسا

به تدرك المأمول إن كنت داعيا

به تدرك المأمول إن كنت داعيا

Persist in it in the morning and evening;

And do not be heedless of its meaning

through it you attain your hope, if you pray.

And adhere to it morning and evening

وقل فيه يا الله حقق مقاصدي

وقل فيه يا الله حقق مقاصدي

وبالعفو يا رحمن كن لي معافيا

وبالعفو يا رحمن كن لي معافيا

And say within it: O God, fulfill my aims;

With it you will attain what you hope if you are a supplicant

through pardon, O All-Merciful, grant me well-being.

And say in it "O God, fulfill my purposes

وبالرحمة اغفر يا رحيم خطيئتي

وبالرحمة اغفر يا رحيم خطيئتي

ويا ملك اجعلني بحكمك راضيا

ويا ملك اجعلني بحكمك راضيا

Through mercy, forgive my sin, O Merciful;

And with forgiveness, O Most Merciful, be gentle with me

O King, make me content with Your decree.

And with mercy, forgive my sins, O Most Compassionate

وللقلب يا قدوس قدِّس عن السوى

وللقلب يا قدوس قدِّس عن السوى

وفي الحشر سلِّم يا سلام محاميا

وفي الحشر سلِّم يا سلام محاميا

O All-Holy, sanctify the heart from all other than You;

And O King, make me content with Your decree

at the resurrection gathering, O Peace, keep me safe, protecting me.

And purify my heart, O Most Holy, from desires

ويا مؤمن ارزقني الأمان من الردى

ويا مؤمن ارزقني الأمان من الردى

وللحق كن لي يا مهيمنُ هاديا

وللحق كن لي يا مهيمنُ هاديا

O Giver of Security, grant me safety from destruction;

And in the Gathering, deliver me, O Most Peaceful, my advocate

O Guardian, guide me to the truth.

And provide me security from evil, O Most Faithful

وبالعز فارفع يا عزيز مكانتي

وبالعز فارفع يا عزيز مكانتي

وللكسر يا جبار فاجبر مؤاسيا

وللكسر يا جبار فاجبر مؤاسيا

Through might, raise my station, O Mighty;

And guide me to the truth, O Guardian of all things

O Compeller, mend my brokenness, consoling me.

And with might, exalt my status, O Most Powerful

وكبِّر عطائي منك يا متكبر

وكبِّر عطائي منك يا متكبر

ويا خالق اجعلني عن الشر لاهيا

ويا خالق اجعلني عن الشر لاهيا

Increase Your gift to me, O Supremely Great;

And restore the broken parts of me, O Most Compelling

O Creator, make me heedless of evil.

And increase my gifts from You, O Most Proud

من النار يا باري أنلني براءة

من النار يا باري أنلني براءة

وصوِّر مقامي يا مصوِّر عاليا

وصوِّر مقامي يا مصوِّر عاليا

O Maker, grant me deliverance from the Fire;

And make me forget evil, O Creator

O Shaper, shape my station high.

And free me from the Fire, O Originator

وللذنب يا غفار فاغفر تكرماً

وللذنب يا غفار فاغفر تكرماً

وبالقهر يا قهار فارم الأعاديا

وبالقهر يا قهار فارم الأعاديا

O Oft-Forgiving, forgive my sin generously;

And elevate my station, O Shaper of forms

through subjugation, O Subduer, strike the enemies.

And forgive my sins out of generosity, O Great Forgiver

إلى الخير يا وهّاب هب لي هداية

إلى الخير يا وهّاب هب لي هداية

تدوم ويا رزّاق أجزل عطائيا

تدوم ويا رزّاق أجزل عطائيا

O Bestower, grant me guidance toward goodness

And defeat my enemies with Your wrath, O Overpowering Subduer

that endures; O Provider, make my gifts plentiful.

And grant me guidance to goodness, O Giver of Gifts

وبالعلم يا فتّاح فافتح على الذي

وبالعلم يا فتّاح فافتح على الذي

لأمرك ألقى يا عليم المراسيا

لأمرك ألقى يا عليم المراسيا

Through knowledge, O Opener, open the way for the one

And be generous with Your provision, O Great Provider

who has cast his anchors in obedience to Your command, O All-Knowing.

And open for me that which is commanded by You, O Opener

ويا قابض اقبضني على الحق مسلماً

ويا قابض اقبضني على الحق مسلماً

ويا باسط ابسطني وكن لي مصافيا

ويا باسط ابسطني وكن لي مصافيا

O Restrainer, take me as a Muslim upon the truth;

And take me as a submitted Muslim, O Withholder

O Expander, grant me expansiveness and be a sincere friend to me.

And spread me wide and be gentle with me, O Reliever

ويا خافض اخفض قدر من رام لي أذىً

ويا خافض اخفض قدر من رام لي أذىً

ويا رافع ارفعني على الضد راقيا

ويا رافع ارفعني على الضد راقيا

O Abaser, lower the standing of whoever sought to harm me;

And lower those who meant me harm, O Abaser

O Exalter, raise me above my adversary, ascending.

And raise me above adversaries, O Exalter

وذلِّل سريعاً يا مذل من افترى

وذلِّل سريعاً يا مذل من افترى

عليَّ وعزِّز يا معز جنابيا

عليَّ وعزِّز يا معز جنابيا

Swiftly subdue, O Humiliator, whoever fabricated lies

And swiftly humiliate those who slandered me, O Humiliator

against me; O Honorer, strengthen my standing.

And honor me, O Honorer of rank

دعوتك فاسمع يا سميع شكايتي

دعوتك فاسمع يا سميع شكايتي

وأنت بصير يا بصير بحاليا

وأنت بصير يا بصير بحاليا

I have called upon You: hear my complaint, O All-Hearing;

Hear my complaint, O All-Hearing

You see my state, O All-Seeing.

You are All-Seeing of my state, O All-Seeing

ويا حكم احكم بالذي أنت أهله

ويا حكم احكم بالذي أنت أهله

ويا عدل كن لي دون غيرك واليا

ويا عدل كن لي دون غيرك واليا

O Judge, judge as befits You;

And judge with what You are worthy of, O Most Just

O Just, be my protector, You and none other.

And be my patron without others, O Most Upright

وباللطف عامل يا لطيف وأنت يا

وباللطف عامل يا لطيف وأنت يا

خبير فحالي لم يكن عنك خافيا

خبير فحالي لم يكن عنك خافيا

Deal with me gently, O Gentle; and You, O

And deal gently with me, O Most Kind

All-Aware, my state has never been hidden from You.

And O All-Aware, my state was not hidden from You

سألتك حلماً يا حليم فإن لي

سألتك حلماً يا حليم فإن لي

ذنوباً عظاماً يا عظيم ضواريا

ذنوباً عظاماً يا عظيم ضواريا

I have asked You for forbearance, O Forbearing, for I have

I asked for patience from You, O Forbearing

enormous, ravening sins, O Magnificent.

For I have tremendous sins, O Tremendously Great

بمغفرة كن يا غفور مساعدي

بمغفرة كن يا غفور مساعدي

وللشكر وفِّق يا شكور مراعيا

وللشكر وفِّق يا شكور مراعيا

With forgiveness, O Forgiving, be my helper;

Help me, O Much-Forgiving, out of forgiveness

enable me to give thanks, O Appreciative, watching over me.

And enable me to be thankful, O Most Appreciative

وقدري كبِّر يا كبير من التقى

وقدري كبِّر يا كبير من التقى

وبالخير أعلِ يا عليُّ مقاميا

وبالخير أعلِ يا عليُّ مقاميا

Increase my worth through piety, O Great;

And elevate my gifts from You, O Most Great

through goodness, elevate my station, O Most High.

And raise me to excellence, O Most High

وللقلب فاحفظ يا حفيظ وأنت يا

وللقلب فاحفظ يا حفيظ وأنت يا

مقيت فصير قوتي الذكر حاليا

مقيت فصير قوتي الذكر حاليا

Preserve the heart, O Preserver; and You, O

And preserve my heart, O Protector

Sustainer, make remembrance my sweet nourishment.

And make the remembrance of You my nourishment, O Abaser

وكن أنت حسبي يا حسيب وأجلِ لي

وكن أنت حسبي يا حسيب وأجلِ لي

أموراً أشابت يا جليل النواصيا

أموراً أشابت يا جليل النواصيا

Be Yourself my sufficiency, O Reckoner, and dispel for me

And be my sufficiency, O Accounter

matters that have whitened forelocks, O Majestic.

And accomplish matters that worried me, O Most Majestic

وبالحق حقق لي الكرامة منك يا

وبالحق حقق لي الكرامة منك يا

كريم وكن لي يا رقيب مناجيا

كريم وكن لي يا رقيب مناجيا

Through truth, grant me honor from You, O

And fulfill my honor from You in truth, O Most Generous

Generous, and commune intimately with me, O Watchful.

And be my confidant, O Watchful One

أجب لي دعائي يا مجيب تفضلاً

أجب لي دعائي يا مجيب تفضلاً

ويا واسع اجعلني لوجهك رائيا

ويا واسع اجعلني لوجهك رائيا

Answer my prayer, O Responsive, as a favor;

Answer my supplication, O Responder, graciously

O All-Embracing, make me a beholder of Your face.

And expand me, O All-Encompassing, for Your sake

وبالحكمة افتح يا حكيمُ عليَّ يا

وبالحكمة افتح يا حكيمُ عليَّ يا

ودود فجد بالود لي منك صافيا

ودود فجد بالود لي منك صافيا

Through wisdom, grant me an opening, O Wise, O

And open wisdom to me, O Most Wise

Loving, lavish pure love upon me from Yourself.

And be affectionate to me with affection, O Most Loving

ومجِّد صفاتي يا مجيد لدى الورى

ومجِّد صفاتي يا مجيد لدى الورى

ويا باعث ابعثني غداً منك ناجيا

ويا باعث ابعثني غداً منك ناجيا

Glorify my qualities among all beings, O Glorious;

And glorify my qualities among people, O Most Glorious

O Resurrector, raise me tomorrow, safe from Your punishment.

And resurrect me as one delivered by You, O Raiser of the dead

وحقق شهود القلب يا حق فيك يا

وحقق شهود القلب يا حق فيك يا

شهيد وكن للوهم عنِّيَ ماحيا

شهيد وكن للوهم عنِّيَ ماحيا

Make the heart's witnessing of You real, O Truth, O

And fulfill the witnessing of the heart in You, O All-Witnessing

Witness, and efface delusion from me.

And I entrust all my affairs to You, O Trustee

وكلتُ أموري يا وكيل إليك يا

وكلتُ أموري يا وكيل إليك يا

قوي فكن عني الأعادي مقاويا

قوي فكن عني الأعادي مقاويا

I have entrusted my affairs to You, O Trustee, O

And protect me from enemies, O Most Strong

Strong, so oppose my enemies on my behalf.

And make my heart steadfast in righteousness, O Everlasting

ومتِّن فؤادي يا متين على التقى

ومتِّن فؤادي يا متين على التقى

ووال عطائي يا ولي تواليا

ووال عطائي يا ولي تواليا

Make my heart firm in piety, O Firm;

And increase Your gifts to me, O Master

O Protecting Friend, continue my gifts in succession.

And how much praise I owe You, O Most Praiseworthy

وكم لك عندي يا حميد محامد

وكم لك عندي يا حميد محامد

متى أحص يا محصي ظننت تناهيا

متى أحص يا محصي ظننت تناهيا

How many praises I owe You, O Praiseworthy!

When will I ever finish counting, O All-Enumerating?

Whenever I count, O Enumerator, I imagine an end.

You began with kindness, O Originator of all

وبالفضل يا مبدي بدأت لنا ويا

وبالفضل يا مبدي بدأت لنا ويا

معيد علينا عد بفضلك ثانيا

معيد علينا عد بفضلك ثانيا

With bounty, O Originator, You began for us; and, O

And return to us again with Your kindness, O Restorer

Restorer, return upon us with Your bounty once again.

My heart revives in You, O Life-Giver, so give me life

بك القلب يا محيي فأحي ومنه يا

بك القلب يا محيي فأحي ومنه يا

مميت أمت ما عاقه عنك راعيا

مميت أمت ما عاقه عنك راعيا

Through Yourself, O Giver of Life, enliven the heart; and from it, O

And from it cause me to die, O Causer of Death, that which distracts me from You

Bringer of Death, kill what hindered it from You, tending it.

And make my life pleasant, O Ever-Living One

ويا حي طيب لي حياتي وقم على

ويا حي طيب لي حياتي وقم على

أموري يا قيوم بالرفق كاليا

أموري يا قيوم بالرفق كاليا

O Living, make my life good for me, and attend to

And establish my affairs, O Self-Existing One, gently

my affairs, O Self-Subsisting, gently watching over them.

And come to my aid, O Maker of existence from nothingness

ويا واجد اسعفني وأوجد لي المنى

ويا واجد اسعفني وأوجد لي المنى

ويا ماجد اجعلني بمجدك ساميا

ويا ماجد اجعلني بمجدك ساميا

O Finder, come to my aid and bring my wishes into being;

And grant me my wishes, O Majestic One

O Noble, make me exalted through Your glory.

And snatch my heart from strangers, O One and Only

وقلبي من الأغيار يا واحد اختطف

وقلبي من الأغيار يا واحد اختطف

ويا أحد امحق فانياً وابق باقيا

ويا أحد امحق فانياً وابق باقيا

O One, snatch my heart away from all others;

And obliterate the finite self and keep the Eternal

O Unique One, efface the perishing and preserve the enduring.

And enable me to have power over good, O Powerful Doer of What He Wills

ويا قادر اجعل لي على الخير قدرة

ويا قادر اجعل لي على الخير قدرة

ومقتدرُ اجْعل عنك سمعي واعيا

ومقتدرُ اجْعل عنك سمعي واعيا

O Able, grant me the ability to do good;

And make my hearing and sight attentive to You, O All-Forcing One

O Omnipotent, make my hearing comprehend what comes from You.

And bring forward my spiritual station, O Advancer

وقدم مقامي يا مقدِّمُ بالتقى

وقدم مقامي يا مقدِّمُ بالتقى

وللسوء أخِّر يا مؤخرُ كافيا

وللسوء أخِّر يا مؤخرُ كافيا

Advance my station through piety, O Advancer;

And delay evil from me, O Delayer, completely

delay evil, O Delayer, keeping it from me.

And raise me to the highest of my spiritual ascent, O First

ويا أول ارفعني إلى أوج سدرتي

ويا أول ارفعني إلى أوج سدرتي

ويا آخر اكشف عن فؤادي التعاميا

ويا آخر اكشف عن فؤادي التعاميا

O First, raise me to the zenith of my lote-tree;

And uncover that which veils my heart, O Last

O Last, remove willful blindness from my heart.

And make me manifest in Your command, O Manifest One

ويا ظاهرُ اجعلني بأمرك ظاهراً

ويا ظاهرُ اجعلني بأمرك ظاهراً

ويا باطنُ ارفع غفلتي والتلاهيا

ويا باطنُ ارفع غفلتي والتلاهيا

O Manifest, make me manifest by Your command;

And lift my heedlessness and distraction, O Hidden One

O Hidden, remove my heedlessness and distraction.

And grant me authority in sincerity, O Ruler

وفي الصدق يا والي أنلني ولايةً

وفي الصدق يا والي أنلني ولايةً

ويا متعالي منك هب لي معاليا

ويا متعالي منك هب لي معاليا

In truthfulness, O Governor, grant me sainthood;

And bestow lofty qualities upon me, O Most Exalted

O Most Exalted, grant me lofty attainments from You.

And treat me with kindness, O Very Kind One

ويا برُّ جُدْ بالبرِّ لي وعلي تب

ويا برُّ جُدْ بالبرِّ لي وعلي تب

بفضلك يا تواب لا تك خازيا

بفضلك يا تواب لا تك خازيا

O Beneficent, lavish goodness upon me and turn toward me

Upon me turn with forgiveness, O Oft-Returning

with Your bounty, O Accepter of Repentance; do not disgrace me.

And hear my complaint, O Most Compassionate

ومنتقم ابطش في أولي البغي واعف يا

ومنتقم ابطش في أولي البغي واعف يا

عفوُّ عن الجاني وكن متلافيا

عفوُّ عن الجاني وكن متلافيا

O Avenger, strike the perpetrators of oppression, and pardon, O

And O Eternal, fulfill my need and wishes

Pardoner, the offender, and set things right.

And O Possessor of Sovereignty, give me victory over enemies

إلى الحال فانظر يا رؤوف برأفة

إلى الحال فانظر يا رؤوف برأفة

ويا صمد اقض حاجتي والأمانيا

ويا صمد اقض حاجتي والأمانيا

Look upon my state, O Compassionate, with compassion;

And make me cease needing others, O Inheritor

O Eternal Refuge, fulfill my need and wishes.

And lift the veil from my insight, O Lord of Majesty

ويا مالك الملك انتصر لي على العدى

ويا مالك الملك انتصر لي على العدى

ويا وارث اجعلني لغيرك ساليا

ويا وارث اجعلني لغيرك ساليا

O Master of the Kingdom, give me victory over my foes;

And honor me and be proud of me, O Lord of Bounty

O Inheritor, make me forget all but You.

And apportion for me the religion and guidance, O Equitable One

ويا ذا الجلالِ ارفع حجاب بصيرتي

ويا ذا الجلالِ ارفع حجاب بصيرتي

والإكرامِ أكرمني وكن بي مباهيا

والإكرامِ أكرمني وكن بي مباهيا

O Possessor of Majesty, lift the veil from my inner sight,

And gather me to You in devotion, O Gatherer

and of Honor, honor me and take pride in me.

And be my Enricher beyond all others, O Self-Sufficient from all else

ويا مقسط اجعل قسطي الدين والهدى

ويا مقسط اجعل قسطي الدين والهدى

ويا جامع اجمعني عليك مواتيا

ويا جامع اجمعني عليك مواتيا

O Equitable, make religion and guidance my allotted share;

And remove my poverty through You, O Enricher

O Gatherer, gather me unto You in willing accord.

I hoped in You, O Giver, so be generous with gifts

وكن مغنياً لي يا غنيُّ عن الورى

وكن مغنياً لي يا غنيُّ عن الورى

وللفقر يا مغني أزل بك واقيا

وللفقر يا مغني أزل بك واقيا

Be my enricher, O Self-Sufficient, freeing me from need of creation;

And prevent me from evil, O Preventer, protecting me

remove poverty, O Enricher, protecting me through Yourself.

And protect me from all harm, O Creator of Harm

رجوتك يا معطي فجد منك بالعطا

رجوتك يا معطي فجد منك بالعطا

ويا مانع امنعني عن السوء حاميا

ويا مانع امنعني عن السوء حاميا

I have hoped in You, O Giver; lavish gifts from Yourself;

And benefit me and cover my faults, O Creator of Benefit

O Withholder, keep me from evil, protecting me.

And remove ignorance and blindness, O Light

ويا ضار من كل المضرات وقِّنى

ويا ضار من كل المضرات وقِّنى

ويا نافع انفعني وغطِّى المساويا

ويا نافع انفعني وغطِّى المساويا

O Bringer of Harm, guard me against every harm;

And make Your remembrance healing, O Guide

O Benefactor, benefit me and cover my faults.

And grant wondrous inspirations to my heart, O Incomparable

ويا نور فاكشف عنِّيَ الجهل والعمى

ويا نور فاكشف عنِّيَ الجهل والعمى

وذكرك يا هادي لنا اجعله شافيا

وذكرك يا هادي لنا اجعله شافيا

O Light, dispel my ignorance and blindness;

And solve difficulties, O Everlasting through Your favor

O Guide, make remembrance of You a cure for us.

And be my guide, O Most Rightly Guided, to my hopes

وهب لفؤادي يا بديعُ بدائعاً

وهب لفؤادي يا بديعُ بدائعاً

من الفتح يا باقي وحلِّ المعانيا

من الفتح يا باقي وحلِّ المعانيا

Grant my heart, O Incomparable Originator, wonders

And provide the means of patience, O Most Patient

of spiritual opening, O Everlasting, and adorn the meanings.

And I ask You, O God, O Creator of existence

وكن مرشداً لي يا رشيد إلى المنى

وكن مرشداً لي يا رشيد إلى المنى

وبالصبر وفِّر يا صبور الدواعيا

وبالصبر وفِّر يا صبور الدواعيا

Be my guide toward my wishes, O Rightly Guiding;

And O Commander in both worlds, O Forbidder

through patience, O Patient, make the motives abundant.

O Raiser of the dead, record all they have done

وأسألك اللهمَّ يا خالق الورى

وأسألك اللهمَّ يا خالق الورى

ويا آمراً في العالمين وناهيا

ويا آمراً في العالمين وناهيا

I ask You, O God, O Creator of all beings,

So You may be the Requiter

O Commander and Forbidder throughout the worlds,

By Your Most Beautiful Names, the Most Tremendous

ويا باعث الأموات تكتب كل ما

ويا باعث الأموات تكتب كل ما

له فعلوا حتى تكون مجازيا

له فعلوا حتى تكون مجازيا

O Resurrector of the dead, You record all that

Which Your prophet Taha related to us from You

they have done, so that You may requite them,

And whatever manifestations have appeared from You

بأسمائك الحسنى العظام التي لنا

بأسمائك الحسنى العظام التي لنا

نبيك طه عنك قد كان راويا

نبيك طه عنك قد كان راويا

by Your most beautiful, mighty names, which to us

In every state, past, present, and to come

Your Prophet Taha had related from You,

And whatever in the letters of existence

وما قد تجلت فيه من كل مظهر

وما قد تجلت فيه من كل مظهر

سيأتي وما في الحال أو كان ماضيا

سيأتي وما في الحال أو كان ماضيا

and by every manifestation in which they have shone forth,

Your overflowing Light does not cease to contain

whether yet to come, present now, or past,

Answer me to that which I have called You, my Master

وما في حروف الكائنات من الذي

وما في حروف الكائنات من الذي

له نورك الفياض لا زال حاويا

له نورك الفياض لا زال حاويا

and by what lies in the letters of created things, which

And accept from me, O Skillful Rhymer, my simple gift

Your overflowing light has never ceased to encompass.

And be for the one who invokes them a preserver

أجبني إلى ما قد دعوتك سيدي

أجبني إلى ما قد دعوتك سيدي

ومني تقبل منّةً ذي القوافيا

ومني تقبل منّةً ذي القوافيا

Answer what I have called upon You for, my Master;

And answer him in all his intentions

graciously accept these rhymes from me.

And send blessings and peace every time and hour

وكن للذي يدعو بها حافظاً وكن

وكن للذي يدعو بها حافظاً وكن

مجيباً له في كل ما كان ناويا

مجيباً له في كل ما كان ناويا

Protect whoever invokes You through them, and be

Blessings and greetings beyond measure

responsive to him in all that he has intended.

And ennoble and honor with the best ennobling

وصلِّ وسلِّم كل وقت وساعة

وصلِّ وسلِّم كل وقت وساعة

صلاةً وتسليماً يفوق الغواليا

صلاةً وتسليماً يفوق الغواليا

Send blessings and peace at every time and hour,

And convey the most perfect honoring graciously

blessings and peace surpassing all things precious.

And prefer and extol with the best preferment

وشرِّف وكرِّم خير تشريفٍ اعتلى

وشرِّف وكرِّم خير تشريفٍ اعتلى

وأبلغَ تكريمٍ بطيب تلاقيا

وأبلغَ تكريمٍ بطيب تلاقيا

Honor and ennoble with the finest honor ever raised,

And complete the most perfect extolling perpetually increasing

and the fullest ennoblement, with the sweetness of meeting.

And increase honor, glory, felicity, and loftiness of station

وفضِّلْ وعظِّم خير تفضيلٍ ارتقى

وفضِّلْ وعظِّم خير تفضيلٍ ارتقى

وأكمل تعظيمٍ تتابع ناميا

وأكمل تعظيمٍ تتابع ناميا

Favor and magnify with the finest favor ever ascended,

Everlastingly and sublimely in the world

and the most perfect magnification, growing in succession.

And bless him as You choose and are pleased with

وزد في الورى فخراً ومجداً وسؤدداً

وزد في الورى فخراً ومجداً وسؤدداً

ورفعة قدرٍ دائماً وتعاليا

ورفعة قدرٍ دائماً وتعاليا

Increase among all beings his pride, glory, and nobility,

A blessing in abundance narrating the valleys

his elevation of rank, forever, and his exaltation.

And elevate him higher and higher perpetually, in public and private

وبارك كما تختار أنت وترتضى

وبارك كما تختار أنت وترتضى

مباركة في الهطل تحكي الغواديا

مباركة في الهطل تحكي الغواديا

Bless as You choose and approve,

And give him happiness, grants, and victorious support

with blessings whose downpour resembles the morning showers.

Upon Ahmad the Chosen One from the family of Hashim

وأعلِ علوّاً دام سراً وجهرةً

وأعلِ علوّاً دام سراً وجهرةً

وأسعد كذا وامنن وأيِّد مواليا

وأسعد كذا وامنن وأيِّد مواليا

Exalt with an exaltation enduring in secret and openly;

And whoever came quenching thirst with guidance

likewise grant felicity, bestow favor, and lend support continually,

And whom You honored existence by sending

على أحمد المختار من نسل هاشمٍ

على أحمد المختار من نسل هاشمٍ

ومن جاء يروي بالهداية صاديا

ومن جاء يروي بالهداية صاديا

all upon Ahmad, the chosen one, of Hashim's lineage,

And granted us the nearness of his advent

who came to slake the thirsty with guidance,

And Your good pleasure with all his family

ومن رحم الله الوجود ببعثه

ومن رحم الله الوجود ببعثه

وكرَّمنا طراً قريباً ونائيا

وكرَّمنا طراً قريباً ونائيا

through whose mission God showed mercy to existence

And his companions together, hidden and open

and honored us all, near and far.

And those who followed them in good in every era

ورضوان رب الناس عن كل آله

ورضوان رب الناس عن كل آله

وأصحابه جمعاً خفيّاً وباديا

وأصحابه جمعاً خفيّاً وباديا

May the Lord of humankind be pleased with all his family,

And those in the wilderness who answered the caller

and all his companions, hidden and manifest,

And the people of purity and truth in every doctrine of religion

وتابعهم بالخير في كل مدة

وتابعهم بالخير في كل مدة

ومن في البرايا قد أجاب المناديا

ومن في البرايا قد أجاب المناديا

and those who follow them in goodness in every age,

And those who passed on in prior times

and whoever among creation has answered the caller,

And include all the Muslims, their females

وأهل الصفا بالله في كل مشربٍ

وأهل الصفا بالله في كل مشربٍ

لدينا ومن خلوا العصور الخواليا

لدينا ومن خلوا العصور الخواليا

and the people of purity through God, at every spiritual drinking-place,

And males, obedient and disobedient

among us, and those who passed away in bygone ages.

For all time, whenever the dawn greets the evening

وعمم جميع المسلمين إناثَهم

وعمم جميع المسلمين إناثَهم

وذكرانَهم حتى مطيعاً وعاصيا

وذكرانَهم حتى مطيعاً وعاصيا

Extend this to all Muslims, their women

And the days repeat after the nights

and their men, including the obedient and the disobedient,

مدى الدهر ما صال الصباح على المسا

مدى الدهر ما صال الصباح على المسا

وما كرت الأيام تتلو اللياليا

وما كرت الأيام تتلو اللياليا

throughout time, so long as morning assails evening,

and days return, following the nights.
