أصبحت أنا على مرادِكْ

أصبحت أنا على مرادِكْ

في عافية وفي عبادِكْ

I have awakened in accordance with Your will,

I have become as you desired

in well-being and among Your servants,

In good health and in your worship

مَكفيَّ مؤونة مهنّىً

مَكفيَّ مؤونة مهنّىً

من رزقك قانعاً بزادك

من رزقك قانعاً بزادك

spared the burden of upkeep, blessed with ease,

Sufficient is the provision of my work

from Your sustenance, content with Your provisions.

Content with your sustenance as my supplies

فالشكر لك الكثير مني

فالشكر لك الكثير مني

لا زال على صفا ودادك

لا زال على صفا ودادك

So my abundant thanks are Yours;

So much gratitude to you from me

may they ever endure in the purity of Your love.

As long as in purity and affection of yours

يا مالك جملتي جميعاً

يا مالك جملتي جميعاً

إني لأسير في قيادك

إني لأسير في قيادك

O Master of my whole being, in its entirety,

O owner of my entirety

I am indeed a captive, held in Your reins.

I walk in your lead

أحسنت إليَّ في ابتداء

أحسنت إليَّ في ابتداء

بالحكم بمقتضى رشادك

بالحكم بمقتضى رشادك

You were gracious to me at the outset,

You were good to me in the beginning

by decreeing in keeping with Your right guidance.

With wisdom and your guidance

واجعل حسناً تمام أمري

واجعل حسناً تمام أمري

والقرب فعدْهُ من بعادك

والقرب فعدْهُ من بعادك

And bring my affair to a good conclusion,

Make the ending of my matter good

and promise nearness in place of distance from You.

And count nearness from your distance

في الباطن كن لنا حفيظاً

في الباطن كن لنا حفيظاً

والظاهر من يد استنادك

والظاهر من يد استنادك

Inwardly, be a guardian for us,

Inwardly be for us a protector

and outwardly, through Your hand, on which we rely.

Outwardly the handhold of your support

واعطف كرماً وكن معيناً

واعطف كرماً وكن معيناً

في خلقك لي وفي بلادك

في خلقك لي وفي بلادك

And show generous compassion, and be a helper

Bestow generosity and be a helper

to me among Your creation and in Your lands.

In your creation for me and in your lands

إني أباد لك التجائي

إني أباد لك التجائي

ملقي أملي على جهادك

ملقي أملي على جهادك

Indeed, I am being annihilated; my refuge is with You,

I seek refuge in you

casting my hope upon Your striving.

Casting my hopes upon your struggle

لا أبرح عن مقام ذلي

لا أبرح عن مقام ذلي

في نيل مناي بافتقادك

في نيل مناي بافتقادك

I do not leave the station of my lowliness

I will not leave the station of my lowliness

in attaining my wishes through Your attentive care.

In attaining my wishes through your care

فادرك رمقي بشرح صدري

فادرك رمقي بشرح صدري

واروي عطشي إلى عهادك

واروي عطشي إلى عهادك

So rescue my remaining life by opening my breast,

So take my last breaths by expanding my chest

and quench my thirst for Your rain showers.

And quench my thirst to your riverbed
