أناI العدمْnothingness وبربيand through my Lord صرتI became كنBe! فيكونْso it is
أنا العدمْ وبربي صرت كن فيكونْ
وجودهHis existence مثبتaffirms نفيnegation وإنيand indeed I دونْlowly
وجوده مثبت نفي وإني دونْ
I am nothingness, and through my Lord I came to be: “Be,” and it is.
I am the void, and by my Lord I became "Be," so it is
His existence affirms my nonbeing, and I am lowly.
His existence affirms negation, and I am beneath
ولاand no حلولindwelling كماas أهلpeople of الحجىreason يعنونْthey mean
ولا حلول كما أهل الحجى يعنونْ
ولاand no اتحادunion كماas قدhas ألبسmade it obscure الملعونْthe accursed one
ولا اتحاد كما قد ألبس الملعونْ
Nor indwelling, as people of reason mean it.
Not incarnation as the people of vanity claim
Nor union, as the accursed one has misleadingly portrayed it.
Nor unity as the accursed one has clothed
