لله ليلتنا في صحن صحنايا

لما امتلا بالصفا والبسط هايا
How wondrous was our night in the courtyard of Sahnaya,
Our night belongs to God in the courtyard of our homes
when it brimmed with serenity and delight—hāyā!
When it was filled with clarity and outstretched serenity
وحينand when زالvanished العناthe hardship عناfrom us الذيthat عاياhad wearied us
وحين زال العنا عنا الذي عايا
صرناwe began نناديwe call out لإقبالfor the arrival of الهناbliss ياياyā, yā! (a repeated cry)
صرنا ننادي لإقبال الهنا يايا
And when the hardship that had wearied us fell away from us,
And when the suffering that afflicted us disappeared
we began calling at the arrival of bliss: “Yā, yā!”
We began calling out for the arrival of our happiness, hurray!
