هو صبغة العدم الذي هو كلنا

هو صبغة العدم الذي هو كلنا

طوراً وطوراً نحن صبغته افهموا

He is the hue of nonexistence, which is all of us,

He is the hue of the void which is all of us

at times; and at other times we are His hue—understand.

Phase after phase we are its hue, understand

فإذا رأيناه لنا هو صابغ

فإذا رأيناه لنا هو صابغ

هو باطن ولنا الظهور المبهمُ

هو باطن ولنا الظهور المبهمُ

So when we see Him as our dyer,

So if we see it, it is the dyer for us

He is hidden, and ours is the indistinct manifestation.

It is the essence and ours is the vague appearance

وإذا صبغناه يكون ولم نكن

وإذا صبغناه يكون ولم نكن

فتحققوا يا قوم هذا واعلموا

فتحققوا يا قوم هذا واعلموا

And when we dye Him, He exists, and we do not.

And if we dye it, it becomes and we do not

So realize this, O people, and know:

هو واحد وهو الوجود وغيره

هو واحد وهو الوجود وغيره

عدم كثير ليس يحصى مظلم

عدم كثير ليس يحصى مظلم

He is one, and He is existence, while all besides Him

It is one and it is existence, and other than it

is manifold nonexistence, uncountable and dark.
