Sol 6.1

  1. ترك المراد له فكان مرادا

    وجرى بميدان الفناء جوادا

    He relinquished what he desired for His sake, and became the one desired.

    And raced as a steed in the arena of self-annihilation.

  2. طلب الحبيب لأجله منه ولم

    يطلب له من نفسه ليزادا

    He sought the Beloved from Him, for His sake, and did not

    Seek for Him from his own self, to be granted more.

  3. فهو الذي شرب الحقيقة صرفة

    فاختال إطلاقاً وفك قيدا

    For he is the one who drank Reality unmixed,

    So he strode proudly in freedom and loosened a fetter.

  4. وبدا بأفلاك الوجود على الورى

    شمساً تنير خلائقاً وبلادا

    And appeared in the spheres of existence above humankind,

    As a sun illuminating creatures and lands.
