who loves you—for the heart accepts no bribes.

Do not complain except to Him whose servant you are,

for there is none but the Master to whom complaint is raised.

And if the people you love betray you,

though you never betrayed them in love, endure the affliction.

The youth of the Unseen, possessed of knowledge, hearing, and sight,

sets with precision the firmest balance of dealings,

watchful over every servant, while their affair is

unto Him: then either the Fire or the Garden of Abode.
