She has all I wish for

From all creation and all purpose

Woe to those who blame her or me

They hid her when the winds blew because

I told the wind to send her greetings

Sleep has divorced the eyelid of dawn with separation

Where dreams are no longer possible

They made our gathering impossible despite proximity

    Not content with that they

Prevented her from speaking when the winds blew

In my passion for her I lost all sense of self

And the surge of love erased my compositions

And presumed against the submissive weak one

So I moaned and then said to my love:

Oh, if only I could visit her phantom for a moment

An apparition of her came and went

I have not stopped being tossed about by yearning for her

If only it had stayed to help me

To send her greetings from me, else

They prevented her, to my misfortune, from sleeping
