ما له عندك كُنْهُ

فتحققْهُ وكنْ هُوْ

What is his essence to you

Realize it and be it

أيها الغائب فيه

لمتى تعرض عنه

O absent one in it

For how long do you turn away from it

أنت غيب وهو غيب

لك تأتي أنت منه

You are absent and it is absent

To you, you come from it

وتيقظ أيها الغا

فل فِقْ أنت لدنه

And awaken o absent one

So understand, you are from its presence

للربوبية سر

فاحفظ السر وصنه

To divinity a secret

So keep the secret and protect it

وعليك العهد مأخو

ذ من الرب اعْرِفَنْهُ

And on you a covenant taken

From the Lord, know it

وعزيزٌ هو في ذا

تك إياك تُهِنه

And mighty is He in your

Self, beware disgracing Him

عدم أنت ومولا

ك وجود فاشْهدنه

Non-existence you, and your Master existence

So witness it

زينة الله فخذها

منه واخرج لا تَشُنه

God's ornament take it

From Him and bring it out, do not malign it

وعلى نفسك من ين

صح بالحق أَعِنه

And on yourself who advises with truth, help him

And when the appointment of death trusts you

وإذا آمنك المو

دع سراً لا تخنه

Leave it secret, do not betray it

And refer the matter to Him

وارجع الأمر إليه

ذاتك امْحَقْها فدنه

Annihilate your selfhood completely in its presence

Your measure is the balance so act

شرعك الميزان فاعمل

والذي تعمل زِنه

And what you do, weigh it
