لا تظن الله معنا ها هنا في ذا الوجودْ

هو معنا بالتجلي بتقادير القيودْ

Do not think that God is with us here in this existence

He is with us in revelation, in the determinations of constraints

وتقادير القيود الكلُّ فانٍ هالكٌ

عدم لكن له يظهر بالله وجودْ

And the determinations of constraints, everything is vanishing

Nonexistence, but through God it appears in existence

إنما الكون جميعا حادث إذ لم يكن

ثُمَّ قد كان وربي كان من غير جحود

Indeed, the whole universe is created, as it did not exist

Then it existed, and my Lord existed without denial

ليس شيء معه من قبل أن يخلق لا

داخل أو خارج أو ذو اتصال أو نفود

Nothing was with Him before He created anything - no

Inside, outside, connected or separate

لا زمان لا مكان لا فلان كان في

أزل الآزال فافهم وانتبه مِن ذا الرقود

No time, no place, no one was in

The eternity of eternities, so understand and wake from this slumber

وتأمل في كلامي وانتظر إن لم يكن

فاهماً فالله ربي سوف بالفهم يجود

And contemplate my words and wait if you don't

Understand, and God my Lord will grant understanding

أنت مخلوق وما تفهم مخلوقاً فكن

عارفاً نفسك خلقاً كلها دون جمود

You are created and don't understand the created, so be

Knowing yourself as created, entirely without rigidity

لا تجل بالفكر في ربك لن تقدر أن

تعرف المطلق بالداخل في قيد الحدود

Do not attempt with thought to know your Lord, you cannot

Know the Absolute bound in the limits of boundaries

رفع الله السموات الطباق السبع في

نظر العين كما قد قال من غير عمود

God raised the heavens, the seven layers, in

The sight of the eye as He said, without pillars

وهو لا يظهر إلا بعد أن يفنى الورى

كلهم يظهر بالإيمان منه في الشهود

And He only appears after the entirety of creation

Vanishes, He appears through faith in the witnessing

فيراه القلب غيباً مطلقاً عن كل ما

كان من قبل يراه وهو مولانا الودود

So the heart sees Him hidden, absolute beyond all

That was seen before, and He is our Gentle Lord

واجعل الحس يراه فهو محسوس ولا

شيء معه من جميع الخلق من بيض وسود

And make the senses see Him, so He is perceptible and no

Thing is with Him from all people, white and black
